Khalil studied archaeology at NTNU in Trondheim and has worked as a field archaeologist since 2005.

He has worked for a number of county authorities and museums in Norway.

Khalil was originally primarily interested in the Early Stone Age, but has expanded his archaeological horizons through three-and-a-half years working as a Field Supervisor for the Norwegian Maritime Museum in Bjørvika and now on the exciting Follo Line Project for NIKU.
