Audun has a master’s degree in archeology from the University of Bergen. He also holds a master’s degree in musicology and composition from the Department of Music at NTNU in Trondheim.

Audun has worked as an archaeologist for the regional museums and the county council and as a museum conservator. He has previously worked as a conservator/curator at Museene i Sør-Trøndelag, mainly at the Ringve Music Museum.
