Christina was employed at NIKU in April 2024. She is a wall paintings conservator with nearly three decades of experience in the restoration of wall paintings and stone objects. Since 1997 she has been a freelance restorer in Berlin.  

Christina got her Diploma in 2006 at the FH Potsdam University of Applied Sciences in Conservation and restoration of mural paintings. She is a passionate graduate restorer, and her experience ranges from planning, consulting, supervision, and management of restoration work on architectural monuments, to practical conservation work.

She has worked regularly for the cultural heritage authorities in Berlin, especially conducting architectiural finishes research (AFR). This is also among the tasks she will be conducting at NIKU.
