Johanne completed her master’s degree in archaeology from NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology) in 2021, with a focus on traditional Norwegian silver jewelry used in bunads. During her studies, she participated in excavations in Cyprus and Scotland and spent half a year studying at the Norwegian Institute in Rome.

Previously, she has worked as a field archaeologist for both the Museum of Cultural History in 2021 and 2023, and for Vestland County Municipality on their E39 Stord-Os project in 2022. She is currently working for NIKU in Tønsberg on their project in Prestegaten.
