Stefan graduated from the University of Tromsø in 2009. He has also previously studied religious science at NTNU and history in Bø in Telemark. This was followed by a few years at the laboratory in Umeå where he studied phosphate mapping of Iron Age graves.

He has worked in the field since 2007 and has gained broad experience, with fieldwork for several county authorities, museums and universities, work that has covered everything from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages.

Stefan started as a field archaeologist at NIKU in 2014 and is now working as a Field Supervisor (GIS) on the Follo Line Project.
