On 14. March NIKU hosts an open lunchtime lecture where Herdis Hølleland and Jessica Phelps will present their recent World Heritage research.
World Heritage Research
NIKU has a long history of research on UNESCO’s World Heritage Convention. We have and are conducted studies at World Heritage sites as well as at the international area.
In the past we have conducted in-depth studies of the Norwegian World Heritage Sites of Røros Mining Town and the Circumference and Vegaøyan—The Vega Archipelago. At present we are working on several projects on the international World Heritage bureaucracy.
We are often working in partnership with other organisations and welcome new partnerships. In the past we have collaborated with researchers at for example Econ Analyse AS, NTNU and the University College of Southeast Norway.
