The project aimed to estimate economic effects of cultural heritage in the community of Røros; including both the effects of cultural heritage in general, and the effects associated with the site’s World Heritage listing. Furthermore, it examined how management of cultural heritage can affect economic value and negotiate the inherent conflicts between value creation and conservation of cultural heritage.

The project was conducted in partnership with Econ Analyse As and funded by the Norwegian Research Council.
