NIKU has carried out a range of impact assessments relating to cultural environments across the country. The investigated measures have been developments within wind power, roads and railways, power lines, mass extraction, industrial areas, etc. We are also experienced within value-, risk-, and vulnerability assessments and strategic impact assessments (scoping).

Several impact assessments in the last ten years have been performed in the northernmost counties of Norway. The investigations have included cultural heritage monuments and environments on land, marine cultural heritage, Sami cultural heritage, and Sami use of outfields.
