We urge contributors to demonstrate how the sessions’ topics may be discussed through a variety of methods and theoretical approaches from different disciplines.
Conference: Critical Digital Heritage
Sadly, we have decided to cancel the conference due to the uncertainty concerning the corona virus. We hope to be back later.
NIKU is pleased to announce the conference ‘Critical Digital Heritage’ to be held at Gamle Museet in Oslo 27-28 May 2020.
The conference will discuss how recent technological inventions and digital media can define new and extended functions for cultural heritage in society today.
What opportunities does new digital heritage offer? What novel methods for digital registration, documentation and communication open up? Will digital heritage create new ways to perceive cultural heritage? Will digital cultural heritage contribute to a more open and inclusive society? These are some of the questions that the Critical Digital Heritage Conference 2020 will address.
The conference organizers are: The Heritage Experience Initiative (N), University of Stirling (UK), LBI Arch Pro (AUS) and NIKU
For questions about the conference, please contact Torgrim Guttormsen or Knut Paasche. For practical matters, contact Liv Avset.
